Year End Results

Spirit was 5th in USEF Zone 10 in the Large Green Pony Hunter division with limited showing. 

Spirit was 9th in both the Child's Pony and Large Pony Hunter divisions in Norcal. [He showed 6 times in the Child's pony division and once in the Large Ponies].

Friday was the Fox'n Horn 2009 Series Champion in Division 3.

Knight and Ellen were the Fox'n Horn Series Champions in Division 2.

Jessica and Knight were 3rd in the Beginner Rider Walk Trot Division for the Fox'n Horn Series.

Fox'n Horn December 5

Friday was the Fox'n Horn 2009 Series Champion in Division 3.

Knight was the Fox'n Horn Series Champion in Division 2 [Ellen riding].

Jessica and Knight were 3rd in the Beginner Rider W/T Division for the Fox'n Horn Series. [With limited showing].

Spirit was 3rd in Division 2 for the Fox'n Horn Series. [With limited showing]. 

Jessica rode Knight to the Walk Trot Flat Equitation Championship.

Martha and Friday won the Open Flat Equitation Championship.

Friday and Martha won 5 of the 6 Division 3 classes.

Ellen rode Spirit to win the Division 2 Equitation Over Fences.

Martha and Spirit won the Division 2 flat equitation, handy hunters, and equitation over fences. 

Ellen and Knight placed well on the flat and won the Division 2 Jumpers with the fastest jumper time of the day.

Fox'n Horn November 7

Friday and Martha won the Director's Chair for Overall Champion of the day.

Ellen and Knight were co-Champions in Division 2.

Friday and Martha were Division 3 Champions.

Ellen won the Flat Equitation Championship.

Jessica rode Knight in her fourth horse show ever and WON the Walk-trot Equitation Championship!

Jessica was also second in the Walk-Trot Beginner rider equitation on the flat.

Ellen and Knight and Martha and Friday both won two of four of their over fences classes and both pairs won the jumper class.

A very good day for Team FPR!

Norcal Medal Finals

Spirit competed in the 3' for the second time ever at Norcal in the Norcal Pony Medal Finals. 

Judged over two rounds, Spirit jumped a gigantic hay bale jump and numerous one and two strides all while showing us how brave he really is. A great effort from most likely, the youngest and greenest pony in the finals.

In addition to contesting the Medal Final, Spirit was 2nd and 3rd in the competitive Child's Pony Hunter division.    

Fox'n Horn October 3

Friday and Martha were Division 3 Champions.

Ellen and Knight won their jumper class with a fast and smooth round.

Martha and Friday won the Division 3 Under saddle, Handy Hunters, and Jumpers.

Friday was 2 points away from winning the Overall Day Champion saddle pad. 

Strides and Tides, Pebble Beach 

Spirit made his debut in the rated Large Pony Hunters [and the 3'] and was Reserve Champion [1, 2, 3, 5, and 3rd U/S].

Spirit's first ever 3' class was the Norcal Pony Medal and Spirit and Martha were 2nd, qualifying for the finals in October.

Spirit and Martha were 1st in the Horse & Hound Pony Medal, qualifying for that medal final as well. This round was done almost completely in the dark.

Spirit won the Large Children's pony warm up.

Fox'n Horn August 9:

Friday and Martha were Division 3 Champions

Ellen and Knight were Division 2 Champions

Ellen won the flat Open Equitation Championship

Friday and Martha were Reserve Champion in both the Open Equitation Championship and the English Pleasure Championship flat classes

Friday and Martha won the Hunter Hack

Ellen and Knight competed in their first 3' class ever in the Division 3 jumpers. They were 4th.

Pebble Beach Equestrian Classic:

Spirit was Reserve Champion in the Green Pony hunters [his second time in the division].

Spirit and Martha were 3rd out of 11 in the Horse & Hound pony medal even with a dropped rail.

Spirit won great ribbons in the Children's Pony division including two 2nds. 

Fox'n Horn Father's Day Weekend Show:

Ellen and Knight were overall Champions in the 3-Phase Equitation Challenge.

The Equitation Challenge had a Hunter, Flat, and Jumper phase and Ellen won all three to take the Championship.

Ellen and Knight were Reserve Champions in Division 2 [2'6''].

Martha and Friday were Division 3 Champions.

Spirit was the open Hunter Under Saddle Champion.

Spirit was also 1st twice, 2nd, and 3rd [and ribboned in each class] in Division 2. 

Friday and Martha won almost all of the Division 3 flat classes as well as winning 4 over fences classes. [Including jumpers, with one of the fastest times of the day--against horses]. 

Martha was the Reserve Champion in the open Flat Equitation Championship. 

Winara Glorianna made a successful comeback after spending 2 years recovering from an injury and competed in the Green Horse division as well as Division 1. 

A very successful weekend for FPR!

Pebble Beach Challenge:

Ellen and Miles were 1st, 3rd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th in the Medium Pony hunters.

Ellen and Miles won a Sml/Medium Children's pony hunter class.

Ellen and Miles were 7th in the Horse & Hound Pony Medal.

Spirit was 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the Green Pony hunters. 

Spirit was Champion in the Green Pony Hunters, qualifying him for the 2009 Pony Finals!

Woodside Spring Classic:

We battled the mud and rain all week but still were victorious!

Spirit was the Champion in the Children's Pony hunters, winning two over fences classes. The division was very competitive with 14 ponies competing.

Ellen and Miles were 2nd and 4th in the Children's Pony hunters, and 1st and 2nd in the Schooling Pony hunters.

Ellen was 5th in the Horse & Hound Pony Medal.

Friday and Martha made their debut in the jumpers and were co-Reserve Champions in the .75m Child/Adult jumpers and also competed in the .85m jumpers.

Fox'n'Horn  April 19:

Jessica won her Limit Equitation class and was 5th in the W/T Equitation Championship on Knight.

Spirit and Martha were 3rd in the under saddle and equitation in Division 1.

Spirit and Martha were 3rd in the equitation over fences in Division 1.

Ellen and Miles were 3rd in the Hunter Hack Championship and 5th in the Equitation Championship.

Ellen and Miles won the Warm-up Hunters and were 2nd in Jumpers.

Martha and Friday won both Division 2 flat classes as well as three of the four over fences classes.

Friday was Division 2 Champion and was High Point of the Day.

Twin Rivers One Day Horse Trial   April 5:

Ellen and Miles were 2nd in the Walk Trot Horse Trial on their Dressage score of 32.

Martha and Friday were 8th in the Beginner Novice division and Friday [and Martha] loved Cross Country!

Fox'n'Horn January 31:

Jessica went to her second show and was Champion in the W/T Open Equitation Championship on Knight

Jessica and Knight also earned a 2nd, two 3rds, and an 8th in large classes

Ellen and Miles won the Hunter Hack Championship class

Ellen was 5th in the Division 2 Equitation over fences and she and Miles put in an amazing Jumper round and were 2nd

Spirit was 3rd in the Division 2 under saddle to large horses and was 2nd [in a large class] in the Handy Hunters

Friday was the Division 3 Champion

Friday and Martha were 2nd to Ellen in the Hunter Hack

Friday and Martha won all 4 over fences classes

Fox'n'Horn Championship Horse Show:

Ellen won the Fox'n'Horn Medal Finals on Miles

Miles and Ellen were Champion in Division 2

Ellen was Overall Champion for the day 

Knight won the Hunter class in Division 2 and was 4th in the jumpers

Ellen won the Flat Equitation Championship

Jessica rode Knight at her first horse show [ever!] and rode to great ribbons in the Walk Trot Beginner Rider and a super 3rd place in the Walk Trot Equitation Championship out of 15 riders! A great start to her horse show career!

Pebble Beach Equestrian Championships:

Friday and Martha won the Zone 10 Mini Medal Finals with an 81 in the second round.

Friday was Year End Reserve Champion in the Monterey Bay Series in the Pony Hunters.

Ellen and Miles were 4th under saddle and 7th over fences in the Pre-Children's Hunters [horses and ponies].

Miles was sixth in the Children's Pony Hunters over fences.

Spirit was 3rd in the Children's Pony Hunters under saddle and showed for the first time in rain and wind. 

Horse & Hound Medal Finals:

Friday and Martha were 7th in the 2nd round of the Horse & Hound Pony Medal Finals and 7th Overall in the Finals!

Friday won a round of the Children's Pony Hunters and was 3rd in the other out of 24!

Ellen and Spirit were 2nd in the Short Stirrup Equitation on the flat.

Martha and Spirit were 2nd in the Children's Pony Hunters under saddle out of 18 and Spirit put in consistent rounds over fences.

Ellen and Knight were 3rd in the Short Stirrup Eq over fences and 4th in the Really Low Jumpers.

Martha and Friday were 4th in the Norcal Pony Medal and 5th in the Pony Eq over fences out of 18.

Pickwick Fall Classic Result:

Martha and Friday were 2nd and 4th in the Pony Hunters (combined together but at the Large Height of 3') and 4th under saddle.

Martha and Friday were also 6th in the Pony Equitation Over Fences Championship and 7th in the Flat Championship.

After a quick pony change that Ellen was not even aware of, Knight went to Sacramento and he and Ellen were 3rd in the $100 Short/Long Stirrup Championship, a combined class of juniors and amateurs.

Ellen was also 3rd in the the Short Stirrup Flat Equitation out of 11. 

Pebble Beach Equestrian Classics Results 

Overall, we had a good 3 weeks at Pebble Beach. Spirit ended up Reserve Grand Champion in the Large Children's Pony Hunters, winning the under saddle every week and truly proving himself over fences. Ellen and her ponies performed well and she qualified herself for a major Norcal medal the first time she rode in it. Martha and Friday performed well in the Large Pony Hunters and Pony Equitation as well.  

Pebble Beach Classic II:

Martha and Friday won a Large Children's Pony Hunter Over Fences Class with a score of 82

Martha and Spirit won the Large Children's Pony Hunter Under saddle  

Ellen rode Spirit to a 3rd place in a large Short Stirrup Equitation on the flat. She and Spirit are very well matched and Ellen did a great job handling a green pony in such a large class. This was Ellen's first time riding Spirit at a horse show.

Pebble Beach Classic I:

Ellen and Miles won the Norcal Pony Medal, qualifying them for the Finals in October!

Spirit won the Large Children's Pony Hunter Under Saddle

Ellen and Knight were 5th in the Short Stirrup Hunter Classic out of 22 

Pebble Beach Classic:

Spirit won a Large Children's Pony over fences. This was his very first win over fences in the Children's Pony Division (2'6''). He also won the under saddle.

Martha and Friday were 2nd in a Large/Small Pony Hunter Over Fences class with a score of 84!

Friday was 8th in the Pony Hunter Classic.

Ellen was 3rd, 3rd, and 4th in the Maiden Equitation over fences and on the flat with Knight.

Miles won the Small/Medium Children's Pony Under saddle and got some great ribbons in the Pony Equitation Division.

Ellen was Reserve Champion in the Short Stirrup Equitation Division on Knight, winning the flat and placing 2nd over fences. 

Woodside Summer Horse Show Results

We had a very successful two weeks at Woodside, earning ribbons in almost every class entered even if we did have the youngest ponies in most cases. The boys withstood high temperatures (107 during the first week even) and even scary bronze statues and came out champions.  

Bay Area Festival:

Ellen was Reserve Champion Overall in the Short Stirrup Division, winning her flat equitation and earning two seconds, a third over fences among other great places

Spirit was Co-Champion in the Schooling Pony Hunters and won the Schooling Pony Hunter under saddle as well as the Children's Pony Hunter under saddle

Martha and Friday were third in the Pony Hunter Classic and were second over fences and in the model

Martha won the Norcal Pony Medal and is now qualified for the Norcal Medal Finals

Martha was second in the Horse & Hound Medal which also qualified her for the Horse & Hound Medal Finals

Circuit Opener:

Martha and Friday were second in the Pony Hunter Model and second and third over fences

Ellen and Knight got two sevenths over fences in a very competitive Schooling Pony Hunter division and were fourth and fifth in the Short Stirrup Eq over fences

Spirit was second in both the Children's Pony under saddle and the Schooling Pony under saddle and fourth over fences in the Children's and Spirit placed in each of his Children's Pony classes 

Pebble Beach Challenge Results:

Ellen and Knight were 2nd in the Short Stirrup Flat Equitation and 2nd in the Short Stirrup Eq Over Fences 

Ellen and Knight were 3rd of 22 in the Short Stirrup Jumpers

Spirit stepped up and did the Large Children's Pony Hunters and placed in each class

Spirit won the Large Children's Pony under saddle and also got a well-deserved 4th and 5th over fences

Woodside Spring Preview Results:

Ellen and Knight were 3rd in a Schooling Pony Hunter Class and 2nd in the M&S Children's Pony Medal

Martha and Friday were 2nd in a Pony Hunter class and won the Horse & Hound Pony Medal

Martha was Champion in the Pony Equitation [winning the flat and placing 2nd and 5th in the over fences]

Pebble Beach Spring Results:

Martha and Friday were Champions in the Large Pony Hunters, qualifying them for the 2008 Pony Finals in Kentucky. 

Ellen and Knight successfully moved up to the Children's Pony Hunters and Pony Equitation. Ellen and Knight were 4th twice and 5th twice in the Children's.

Ellen and Knight won a Schooling I Jumper Class

Martha qualified for the IEA Zone Finals (Zone 10)
